Apple’s introduction of macOS 10.15 Catalina, which has ended support for 32-bit applications, has sparked the need to update the CLIO Pocket software. During the first half of 2020 Audiomatica released a 64-bit beta version of the CLIO Pocket 2.12 x64 software which runs on macOS 10.15 Catalina.
The recent introduction of macOS 11.0 Big Sur and at the same time Apple Silicon M1-based hardware creates a new situation that will require the adaptation of the entire CLIO Pocket development process.
To date we have been able to successfully test CLIO Pocket 2.12 x64 beta under macOS 11.0 Big Sur on Mac computers with Intel silicon.
However, it has not yet been possible to test on Mac computers with Apple M1 silicon.
Basically running CLIO Pocket on a Mac computer gives us three possible scenarios:
|Intel Silicon||OS X 10.5 up to macOS 10.14||CLIO Pocket 2.11|
|Intel Silicon||macOS 10.15 Catalina and macOS 11.0 Big Sur||CLIO Pocket 2.12×64 beta|
