Here is how to gain
portability with your CLIOwin system.
1) Take a look at the new possibilities of CLIOwin 7
2) Install the PCI card in a docking station.
Some notebook manufacturers produce neat docking stations with PCI slots available. Shown in the picture is the IBM Thinkpad T21 notebook with its docking system Type 2631 ( www.ibm.com ).
3) Install the PCI card in a PCI adapter.
This solution gives you maximum flexibility. Shown is the PCI-to-PCMCIA adapter from Magma ( www.magma.com ) connected to an HP Omnibook notebook.
4) Install the card in a "real" portable.
This is the best solution for both the
ISA and the PCI cards, giving you a rugged and reliable measurement system,
a workhorse for your everyday job (shown in the picture is the PCI system
housed in an old "Compaq-SLT-like").
